![]() I'll likely stick with the free 1h/day plan unless things change on my setup. Is there any trivial way to resolve the issue? Nvidia doubled the rates just some days ago (to 10€/month) and considering that the library essentially lacks modern AAA games outside of Ubisoft and CD Projekt titles (you should be able to run some locally even with an integrated GPU, vast majority when paired with a graphics card) at least in its current form the service absolutely doesn't seem worth its asking price to any Linux user (when running in software mode). Playable in some form nonetheless and the video quality was very good (set at the max bitrate). I have an 8th-gen Intel processor which outright required hw accel for at least H.265, and Geforce Now's (presumed) H.264 video stream may be prone to dropping frames without as well.Īdditionally I suffer from near-crippling input lag when their the closest data center is only around 500km from my house - I don't know if any input delay can be related to not having hw accel, but in the form of stuttering video playback would be. I would just use the unofficial electron app (remembers the Nvidia login credentials and worked entirely out-of-the-box), but there doesn't seem to be a known way to enable the acceleration. Like I said in the thread, Firefox suffers from a breaking issue on my end (and isn't officially supported), Chromium lacks some library on my distro, I don't truly want to install Chrome since there's no guarantee that the browser would resolve the issue and in any case I likely have to enable the hw acceleration manually and may have to install browsers from third-party repos or build them manually.
